If you're headed to a beach bash, harbor party or sailing trip find a madras print short and top-siders for a casual but not overly nautical feel. A canvas tote bag allows you to pack sunscreen, a hat and extra sunnies with plenty of room for a towel and swim suit if a dip is on your agenda. Think neutral colors for jewelry and fabric or rope materials.
A party go-to is always a dress, but keep in mind that at a garden party you may be sitting on stumps or ledges and near the water there are typically breezes. To avoid any unmentionables from coming into view a cute short will keep you covered. Plus, you'll be just a bit different than all the other girls!
