Color Me Bonita - Emotional Brilliance at Lush

Source:  http://www.lushusa.com

Near the top of the list for most luxurious pass times?  A bath. And any number of LUSH Fresh Handmade bath bombs, bubbles and bars can make a bath even more luxurious was. Make any excuse you can to visit a LUSH store as soon as possible.

But, the ladies of LUSH (Lushies) realize that we all can't be settling in for baths on a regular basis (once a year at best!) so co-founder and product innovator Rowena Bird developed the Emotional Brilliance color line for LUSH, launching nationwide tomorrow! (July 21st)

If Emotional Brilliance sounds kind of familiar you probably had a Psych 101 class in your past... it is similar to Emotional Intelligence and the line of lip and eye colors are developed to suit your mood. LUSH worked with Lady Kennedy, a Strategic Behavioral Therapist who specializes in the attitudes that correspond to colors. The idea is that we are drawn to colors based on our emotions not because they are our favorites.

Still with me? Okay. There is a game to play. A color wheel spins in front of you and you are just to take it in and clear your mind. When the wheel stops, pick the three colors you are drawn to.

Pick #1: your Strength or Weakness
Pick #2: your Subconscious Need
Pick #3: your Talent (what you need to achieve your subconscious need)

Not only is this one of the coolest approaches to make-up, the entire line is vegan, the packaging is as environmentally friendly as possible and the value is huge for the amount of product you get.

I got to sample the Emotional Brilliance line and actually got to try a Colour Supplement foundation product, the "Feeling Younger" highlighter and "Charisma" bronzer. A new mascara is launching as well that contains only one preservative (most on the market contain 4-6) which will not irritate the eyes, but the wheatgrass actually conditions and nourishes the lashes!
