Big Day Momento - Envelope Photo Collage

Ever since the show Hoarders hit the air waves ladies every where began to question what they should keep and what they shouldn't. When editor Erin Bassett got married she loved seeing her and her husband's name written together on all the cards from the reception. Knowing there wasn't room for her to keep all the cards in their envelopes like she wanted she came up with this momento collage frame!

Give it a go for your next event! A baby shower (keep the messages on the inside of the cards), a graduation or a birthday will provide plenty of envelopes to work with.

You'll need:
 - Cards slash Envelopes
 - Photo
 - Frame
 - Scrapbook Tape slash Glue Dots slash Glue Stick
Helpful but not necessary:
 - printer paper slash poster board
 - pencil
 - ruler
 - glass of wine slash champagne slash a brew to help with remembering the big day!

The Process:
Using the background sheet of paper that comes with the frame as the size guide for the envelope layout. If there are dark images on the sheet layer printer paper or re-cut the shape out of poster board. Layout envelopes without taping or gluing to make sure the spacing is correct. Even place the frame over the collage to see if anything is getting cut off. Another option would be to collage the matte that comes with the frame.

Once you are happy with the layout, begin to adhere the envelopes to the backing. Depending on the look you are going for you can rip the wording out or cut it in geometric shapes. You can use a colored paper or newspaper as the background of the photo to add dimension too! The options are endless! Trim any excess from the edge of the backing and place in frame. Display prominently and be sure to let everyone know you MADE it!

Show us your work! Tweet pictures to @ColorMe_Styled of your frames using the hashtag #ColorMeCrafty or upload pictures to Pinterest or Facebook and tag Color Me Styled.
Can't wait to see!
